Members of Kiss — Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss — will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this Thursday, April 10.

To commemorate the occasion, I am using the words to Kiss's 1976 song "Detroit Rock City" to build portraits of each of the four original members.

Here is vocalist and guitarist Paul Stanley, known as "Starchild."

Earlier I brought you "Catman" Peter Criss and "Space Ace" Ace Frehley.

Kiss has had a long history with Detroit and Michigan that goes beyond just the song (and movie) "Detroit Rock City." They recorded their breakthrough 1975 album "Alive!" at Cobo Hall. They launched their reunion tour at Tiger Stadium in 1996. They even visited the Cadillac High School football team for homecoming in 1975, after hearing that the team got motivated by playing Kiss records in the locker room.

Congratulations, Paul Stanley, on your induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Check back here at freep.com/ericmillikin for the final portrait in this series, Gene Simmons, coming soon!
