Few photographers have had as much access to as many of rock and roll's biggest stars as Lynn Goldsmith, whose pictures tell a visual tale of the genre spanning nearly half a century.
[In] a 1979 shoot with KISS frontman Gene Simmons during which she convinced him to take a New York City bus in full stage regalia. 'We were both surprised that the bus driver, as well as the few people on the bus, had no reaction to him. That's what I love about New York City!'
