KISS Coming To Turning Stone Resort Casino

Legendary rock band KISS brings its 2013 Monster Tour to the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the formation of KISS. The band’s August 9 performance is part of Turning Stone’s 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, along with longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer are touring in support of KISS’ new album, Monster, released in October 2012. Monster, the 20th studio album in the historic career of KISS, is described as a straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll album featuring collaborations from all four band members in an effort that shows KISS at the top of its game.

Simmons said, “We’re about authenticity. The KISS Army is ruthless. They’d skewer us if we put out records that weren’t great. We pushed ourselves on this album, to make not just ourselves but our fans proud. We try to hit a home run every swing we take. If we’re going to win, win big.”

Stanley added, “We’re a band at this point in our career where we can live up to our own legend. I’ve always maintained that obstacles are what you see when you lose sight of your goals. If you know where you’re going, you don’t see what’s in your way.”

Forty years into an iconic career, KISS has racked up 28 U.S. gold albums along with album sales of 40 million in the U.S. and 100 million worldwide. Live performances by KISS continue to set the rock standard for excitement, energy, and elaborate stage production.

$91, $121, and $146 tickets for the 8 p.m. August 9 show by KISS, with opening act Leogun, at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center go on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Call the Turning Stone box office at (315) 361-7469 or visit
