Today In KISStory - 1996

Today In KISStory - February 28, 1996: For the first time in 17 years the original founding members of KISS make a surprise appearance in full makeup and regalia at the 38th annual Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley co-presented the "Best Pop Performance" award with late rapper Tupac Shakur.

Tupac: "You know how the Grammy's used to be, all straight-looking folks with suits. Everybody looking tired. No surprises. We tired of that. We need something different...something new. We need to shock the people. So let's shock the people."
