A few hours ago the head of external relations of the legendary American band KISS, born in New York in 1973 by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, was between the benches and sheds Editoriale Bortolazzi Steiner of San Giovanni Lupatoto for the latest and final tests the choice of leather for the endpapers of the cover.
Only here you could find the machine to print a book of this size: 70 centimeters to one meter, 202 pages, it weighs over 35 kilograms. Practically every page is a giant poster that weighs a pound and a half. "We looked closely for a final book of the huge monster," wrote KISS on their website, "and we were quite impressed. The pictures are amazing of this size. " The book-monster of Kiss is a retrospective of 40 years of the band, which covers all the different eras such as the make-up of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, from the early years until today. "We chose the photos that have captured the absolute essence of being in and around a Kiss concert," says Tommy Thayer, but another monster of the electric guitar. MEANING BUT this book has monster-? The establishments in the Bortolazzi Stei come out ten different editions, dedicated to the greatest country in the world where KISS have done the tour. "Every edition will feature a different cover with the flag of that nation and in every book will be personally signed, dated and numbered with the dedication of the band."
All stages, from graphic design to color registration to printing to finishing and personalization were held in the establishment of the EBS via Monte Comun Editorial Bortolazzi Stei "one of the producers of the most beautiful books in the world," write the Kiss. Each piece is finished by hand, no machines involved in finishing and bookbinding. The Kiss will make the official presentation of the book monster in July, and is likely at this point that coincides with the release of the last disk in preparation.
The climate is of great confidence, everything is covered by the privacy and rights of Kiss: "The Bortolazzi Stei, explains Fabio Bortolazzi, CEO of the company being carried on by his sons Jonathan and Philip, had to sign a specific provision with which agrees to return to Kiss also all waste materials.
