KISS' New Album Will Be 'Meat and Potatoes' - "Destroyer Meets Sonic Boom Meets Revenge"

Will Markel//

UGO speaks to Gene Simmons of KISS and learns all about the band's new album!

While doing interviews for his appearance in ABC's Castle, Gene Simmons himself talked to UGO about KISS' new album, and what lays ahead for the fiercest foursome of all time!

When asked about returning to the studio, he said "We’re knee deep in it. Another studio record, [and] just to flex our muscles we’re going to go out and do fifteen shows this summer, in between the record."

That's not all, KISS kadets! When asked what the record was like he said, "Meat and potatoes. You know its going to be like Santa Claus. Up and down, everybody gets used to this and that, and things change, and fashion changes, but it's good to know that Santa comes, and he’s not going to change his outfit and you know what you’re going to get: gifts. Consistency of message." KISS fans are going to get the same quality music they've recieved from their idols time and time again.

He went on to say that the album would be like "Destroyer meets Sonic Boom meets Revenge." No doubt, this upcoming album will be another return to hard rock for KISS, having them put aside lighter, catchy tunes, making this their Creatures of the Night of the new millenium.

After all, has the demon ever steered you wrong?

Big KISS For Trump From Gene Simmons

 by Sara Bibel/
Donald Trump has been accused of racism for stating that he questioned whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States. His alleged presidential campaign has been dismissed as a publicity stunt. The Donald does have one supporter: former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and KISS bassist Gene Simmons.  Simmons, who will play himself on Monday’s episode of “Castle,” even went so far as to claim that Trump was more qualified to run the country than Obama.

Said Simmons,”He’s a very bright man. The problem generally with politics, is that people who are running for office don’t have business experience, have never run companies, and therefore don’t understand the structure of a business.” Simmons went on to demonstrate that he knows less about U.S. government than the average high school civics student saying, “Politics, especially in the United States of America, really is a business, first and foremost. It has imports and exports, it has a budget. You should balance the budget and try to make a profit.”

The long-tongued bassist, who despite numerous successful entrepreneurial ventures seems unaware of the difference between the economy and the government, continued, “The reason we’re in such a mess is because politicians really are not business men. Businessmen should be politicians, but businessmen first. Therefore, who’s more qualified? And by the way, I voted for President Obama, but in terms of qualifications, Trump is much more qualified than Obama. The President has two years of experience in local politics and has never run a company of his own. That’s a frightening resume for someone who is the most powerful man on the face of the planet.”  For the record, President Obama became a U.S. Senator after serving in the Illinois State Senate, and teaching constitutional law at one of the nation’s most prestigious law schools.  This career trajectory took considerably longer than two years.

Simmons, who was born in Israel to Israeli and Hungarian parents and thus is ineligible to become President of the United States, also defends Trump questioning the legitimacy of Obama’s birth certificate. “If you’re going to be the most powerful man on earth, everybody should have the right to demand anything. And, in the interest of full disclosure before the fact, our President should have shown the birth certificate on day one, when he was first running.”

KISS Rocking Canada Day Celebrations

Legendary rock group KISS will be centre stage July 2 as the closing headliner of the three-day Canada Rocks Canada Day celebrations.

And Fort McMurray is the only Alberta stop on the band's summer tour.

Events Wood Buffalo and MacDonald Island Park — the venue for all the concerts and festivities — unveiled all the details of the headlining events Tuesday.

Some 10,000 tickets will be sold for KISS, ranging in price from $99 for general admission to $250 each for VIP tickets. Box office opens noon May 6.

"We expect those tickets to go very, very fast," predicted EWB executive director Claude Giroux, decked out in his finest Gene Simmons leather.

"MacDonald Island Park and Events Wood Buffalo teaming together with the entire community to present the biggest show on earth right here in Fort McMurray," he raved.

Events Wood Buffalo has been around now for a couple of years, mused Giroux explaining how the special events agency was able to contract such a band as KISS.

"I've spent a lot of time on the phone talking to a lot to agents about a lot of different shows and we knew this year we really wanted to bring a big, big show, a big A-list type show up to the community and this one just kind of came together for us."

While the location on MacIsland will be the same as last year's Barenaked Ladies show, the set-up will be very different because the stage is almost three times as large.

Additional highlights as outlined by Paul McWilliams, MacIsland's director of advancement — who noted the event is history in the making for the region — include Canadian rockers Chilliwack performing a free concert on June 30. Also, east coast band The Navigators will be headlining in the Celtic concert series slated for Canada Day. Tickets are $19 for general admission and $30 for the VIP seats.

For all concert tickets call 780-791-0070 or visit

And in keeping with tradition, fireworks set to music will light up the Fort McMurray sky midnight June 30 to usher in Canada Day.

Events to mark Canada's 144th birthday include the annual community parade, children's activities and the multi-cultural food pavilion.

Giroux acknowledged all the partnerships that came into place to make the Canada Rocks celebrations a reality.

"You can't do anything like this without the help of so many people. It would take a really long time for me to thank everybody, but I can tell you the municipality is definitely a major reason we're able to do this," he said. "The partnership between Events Wood Buffalo and MacDonald Island Park to co-present this is very, very key. With generous companies like Aluma Systems and Hertz Rentals to provide some of the infrastructure and the support that we need, is absolutely key to our success. Then, of course, some of the sponsors that step up to the plate every year to support this community and the events that we do is very important."

Coun. Russell Thomas, event co-chairman along with Coun. Mike Allen, echoed Giroux saying such an event couldn't happen "without a whole lot of people in the background making it happen.
"We are very honoured to have a tremendous team who have put their names forward to make this incredible event ... possible."

Allen added "this is Wood Buffalo. We have the biggest regional municipality in Canada. So we've got a big region, we've got big oil, big industry, big sprit and now we've got a big concert.
"This is a huge event for the community," he said.

With concerts of this magnitude traditionally happening in cities such as Edmonton, Vancouver or Toronto, Allen said that if a Fort McMurray couple travelled out of town to one of those locations, they could rack up anywhere between $1,000 to $2,000 for travel, food, accommodation and souvenirs plus the concert tickets.

"We're hosting this right here in Fort McMurray so not only is it a big concert, huge opportunity, but it's great value for the citizens and those that are going to come and get a chance to experience Wood Buffalo for the very first time."

Peter Snook, chairman of Fort McMurray Tourism, expects the concert will draw crowds from across western Canada.

"We're really pleased to be able to showcase the community. We will be partnering with many of our members to provide packages, event tickets, accommodations and other enhancements to ensure that our guests experience in Wood Buffalo is premium, safe, extremely exciting and memorable. Our goal is to increase the visibility and accessibility to the tourism marketplace."

He added this event provides an opportunity for Fort McMurray Tourism and this region to showcase "incredible hospitality and the big spirit."

Ace Frehley Was Back, He Told Us So

Rock & Roll Ginsu

It was back in June of '87 and there's a reason I remember it well... it was the day a friend and I met legendary rock guitarist Ace Frehley.

Ace was doing some warm-up dates a few weeks in advance of the release of the Frehley's Comet debut and somehow, without the aid of the internet, my brother Rich and I had found out he was playing somewhere in Indiana.

We were eagerly awaiting the record because we had gotten a kick-ass bootleg of The Comet's very first show at L'Amours in Brooklyn from '85. KISS is like religion so we convinced a couple non-Kiss-fan-friends to join us on our pilgrimage to see Ace play on a Tuesday night in La Porte, Indiana in what amounted to a very nice gym; the La Porte Civic Auditorium.

We got there way early and ended up sitting down out front on the sidewalk in line for the general admission show. A couple hours into our vigil, we saw a tour bus duck behind the venue. No one else in line seemed to have noticed so my buddy Jay and I decide to have a snoop round back. Just like that, we walk up as the tour bus door opens on cue and Frehley's Comet members Todd Howarth, John Regan and Anton Fig pile off for sound check. Cool!

"Hey guys, can't wait to see you guys live!! Where's Ace?"

"Oh...he's coming, he's good" giggled Howarth walking by.

Seconds later, two worlds collided; daytime & Ace Frehley, that is. Space Ace stumbled from the bus to terra firma like he was in the middle of one of his smoking guitar solos, propelled by gravity but afraid to stop moving for fear he might fall over. It was very rock & roll.

"Hey Ace, how's it going? You are my fucking hero man! This is my buddy Jay." Pausing to shake our hands as the band watched by the backstage door to make sure he made it from A to B, Ace offered "I'm glad you came out man, we're gonna kick some ass to tonight, you wait and see." He would use the exact phrase as a between-songs stage rap on Frehley's Comet; Live + 1 a year later LOL.

When the show started we were dead center, 2nd row, and up close & personal because it wasn't a high stage. Call me crazy, but during the opening number, "Rip It Out," Ace even seemed to recognize us, giving us a wink as he came to the mic to sing the first verse. Our KISS world seemed right again for the first time since the 'break-up.' He didn't do "Shock Me" but it was genius: Ace was back - he had told us so.

Happy 60th Birthday Ace Frehley

Happy Birthday to the original Spaceman - Ace Frehley!

Larry King Bumps Into KISS Rocker Gene Simmons At A Los Angeles Restaurant

Photo: NATIONAL PHOTO GROUP/Daily Mail Reporter

On the surface, they don't seem to have too much in common.

But retired broadcaster Larry King certainly seemed to enjoy his chat with rocker Gene Simmons last night, after the pair bumped into each other at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Looking sporty in a red baseball cap and jacket, the 77-year-old television star was enjoying a meal with his wife Shawn and their sons Chance, 12, and ten-year-old Cannon at California Pizza Kitchen.

And when the family group bumped into Simmons, a rocker with band Kiss, the group had an animated conversation, with the 61-year-old bassist chatting away to the boys.

Dressed in a brown suit jacket and black shirt, Simmons looked a smart contrast to his more familiar outrageous stage outfits, as he arrived at the restaurant.

Meanwhile, King's family were probably hoping to finish their meal in time to catch King's guest performance on U.S. TV show Better With You.

Making a point: King's two young sons seem absorbed with Simmons' conversation
The talk show host came out of television retirement to appear as himself on the ABC comedy show which saw him dish out advice to character Ben (Josh Cooke).

King quit his long running nightly show last year to spend more time with his family.

Piers Morgan has since taken over his time slot on CNN with his own show, Piers Morgan Tonight.

Firm KISS-ed With Success Bagnall, Postmedia News

Traffic numbers spurred wild ride on stock market
There was something otherworldly about the share price gyrations this week of Intertainment Media -the social media wunderkind that got its start in Ottawa a decade ago.

Intertainment shares exploded out of the gate Tuesday, soaring 56 per cent to $3.35 on the TSX Venture Exchange. Within 34 minutes, the shares had slumped 46 per cent, then finally finished the day at $2.25 per share. About 64 million shares traded hands -compared to fewer than 19 million the same day for tech giant Research In Motion.

The shares closed the week at $1.51, trading at much higher volume than usual through Thursday. At its peak on Tuesday, Intertainment had a market value of $420 million -astonishing in light of the fact its sales in fiscal 2010 barely topped $4 million.

The source of all the excitement? Software translation technology marketed by Intertainment's Ortsbo subsidiary and its spokesman, Gene Simmons, the bass guitarist for the rock group Kiss.

David Lucatch, Intertainment's CEO, revealed Monday that the Ortsbo translator was attracting more than 12 million unique visitors each month -an impressive rise since last July, when the product was launched. Lucatch compared his website's traffic with that of Facebook, which took nearly three years to reach the same level -though the comparison isn't really fair. After all, Facebook's earliest fans had to be registered with a university.

No matter -Ortsbo is certainly a hit.

That it exists owes much to the drive of several Canadian entrepreneurs.

Ortsbo's success, if that's what it proves to be, is also a vivid reminder of the mercurial nature of the game. "It's a strange thing," says John Roberts, who led the effort to create Intertainment's predecessor firm, Leitrim Group.

"The company bounces along for more than a decade, then suddenly there's frantic activity."

KISS To Rock The Poconos!

Mountain Laurel arts center gets KISS for reopening

Four years after it closed, Mountain Laurel Pocono Mountains Performing Arts Center is making another go at success, scheduling performers it hopes will lure concertgoers to its outdoor amphitheater.

On July 13, the Pike County venue will host glam rockers KISS in its first show since 2007.

It's an all-star start for the troubled venue, which first opened in 2003 amid applause and a torrent of public money but could never stay afloat after several tries.

Now under the guidance of concert veteran David Rodriguez, it has a new tagline: "The music is back in the Pocono Mountains."

There will be a KISS ARMY members-only pre-sale. Stay tuned to KISSOnline for details.

KISS Recreates Detroit Rock City At MINI Stand

By TAMARA WARRENPhoto by Andrew Gombert/European Pressphoto Agency
New York Times

Smoke spurted, the curtain lifted and in rock star fashion Kiss took the stage Thursday morning at the New York auto show. The band wore full makeup, stilted heels and shiny spandex and posed next to four Mini Cooper Countrymans, customized according to each member’s face makeup pattern and persona — the Demon, the Spaceman, the Catman and the Starchild. The signed cars and other Kiss memorabilia will be auctioned for Unicef.

Gene Simmons, the bassist and vocalist, stuck out his infamous tongue and raised his arms, while the guitarist Tommy Thayer and the drummer Eric Singer lunged for the photo opportunity. The fourth Kiss member, Paul Stanley, was unable to attend because of a family emergency, Mr. Simmons said. Mini USA President Jim McDowell wore Kiss-inspired makeup and introduced the band. In their tall heels, they towered over Mr. McDowell. “I seem a little short,” he said.

“You don’t seem short,” Mr. Simmons said in response.” You are short.”

The band gathered in the basement of the Javits for interviews with Mr. McDowell after the conference. Mr. McDowell used a makeup artist for the event, but the band said they always apply the makeup themselves.

The auction begins online May 29 and runs to June 19. “We don’t make it a habit of doing press conferences and trying to convince people that we care about the planet we live and we live on the planet,” Mr. Simmons said. They also work with the charity Wounded Warriors. “We’re very blessed to lead this life.”

They have 20 concerts scheduled for this summer. “Detroit’s got its wonderful qualities and New York does too. What a great way to see America in the Mini Cooper. Wouldn’t that be cool?” Mr. Simmons said. “I’m going to get me one. I want the Demon. Jim is going to get me the Demon Mini Cooper.”

Several of the band members collect cars. “We are car aficionados,” Mr. Singer said. “I have a couple vintage cars. I go to car shows on the weekend. Southern California is the car culture of America when it comes down to it.”

When it’s time to tour, they take to the skies “We have a Kiss jet,” Mr. Thayer said. “But we’re all into cars we can appreciate great cars. Mini Coopers have a rock and roll history. Back in the ’60s the Beatles used to drive Mini Coopers, Paul McCartney, John Lennon.”

None of the Kiss members drive Minis, but they each expressed an interest in driving Minis around Los Angeles. “Not as many cars would look good with your face wrapped on them,” Mr. McDowell said.

KISS Joins MINI USA At The New York Auto Show

MINI and legendary rock band KISS partner to raise money for UNICEF

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., April 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- MINI USA launches the "MINI Rocks the Rivals" competitive test-drive tour in the USA, and as part of the kickoff, MINI has partnered with legendary rock band KISS to raise money for UNICEF to help children in Japan and emergencies around the globe.

KISS band members made the announcement live as four MINI Countryman vehicles with KISS-inspired designs made their debut at the New York Auto Show, each representing one of the KISS band member's iconic faces. All four vehicles will be auctioned after being custom painted with the revealed design and signed by all four KISS members. Fans will be able to bid on the vehicles during a special Father's Day eBay charity auction opening May 29th and proceeds will be donated to UNICEF.

"Our hearts go out to the people of Japan in this time of great tragedy. We wanted to help and also to provide a real way for the KISS Army to get involved," said Gene Simmons of KISS. "UNICEF raises money to help children who are still coping with the effects of these disasters, and also supports other very important emergency relief efforts around the world. Join the KISS Army in giving."

In addition to the vehicle charity auction, MINI USA will sell MINI vehicle wraps of the KISS designs revealed at the New York Auto Show beginning April 21, 2011. MINI USA's proceeds from those sales will also be donated to UNICEF.

"MINI and its owners have long been dedicated to contributing to philanthropic and charitable efforts," said Jim McDowell, Vice President - MINI USA. "MINI USA had established a relationship with KISS as we kick off the 'MINI Rocks the Rivals' tour in the US, and these fundraising initiatives were an ideal way for us to incorporate a fun charitable component to the campaign with these original pieces of art."

Gene Simmons And Martha Stewart At BMW Function

Gene Simmons and Martha Stewart at the BMW Dinner in NYC on Thursday, April 28, 2011.

Four BMW's styled after each member of the band, and signed by all four members, will be auctioned off with all the proceeds being donated to UNICEF. The auction starts on May 29 and runs for 10 days.

Mini will also sell the KISS design graphics packs that can be bought and installed at authorized Mini dealers.

Mini And KISS Team Up For UNICEF

Do you like the Mini Countryman? Old men dressed like monsters in bondage? Helping children affected by the earthquake in Japan and other disasters? Being yelled at by said monsters about said children while standing on Mini Countrymen?

If you answered yes to all of the above, this story is for you!

The Twitterverse has been abuzz for the last day with rumors that Kiss, or at least Gene Simmons, was attending some BMW functions. For example, Martha Stewart tweeted, "me and kisses [sic] gene simmons who is sitting next to me at per se dinner for bmw" and the even less coherent, "Gene simmons of kiss mini coopers part bmw. He does have funny eating habits and he is not in makeup tonight."

Right. Whatever that was intended to mean, Mini rolled out Kiss (and not Mini Kiss like so many expected) for the 2011 New York Auto Show to kick off "Mini Rocks the Rivals" test-drive program. The idea is to go "on the road" with the hot-selling Countryman to provide consumer ride-and-drives side-by-side with the competition.

The other part of this is an auction. The four vehicles -- one styled after each member of the band and signed by all four -- will be auctioned off and all proceeds donated to UNICEF. The auction starts on May 29 and runs for 10 days.

Mini also announced that it will sell the Kiss design graphics packs that can be bought and installed at authorized Mini dealers. Again, proceeds will be donated to UNICEF. Kiss wraps will be available on April 21.

No, they didn't play.

Gene Simmons On Donald Trump Running For President

Simmons Sends Intertainment Stock Up The Charts Won

Gene Simmons, founder of the rock band KISS, has given shares of Intertainment Media Inc. (INT-X2.250.104.65%) a shot in the arm after becoming a pitchman for the Toronto-based firm’s social media and translation website.

Intertainment hit a 52-week intraday high of $3.35 a share Tuesday before sliding to close up 10 cents at $2.25. The company, which has reported no earnings and no significant revenue to date, has seen its stock gain a whopping 2,150 per cent this year.

“It’s getting a little crazy,” says Peter Hodson, a portfolio manager at Sprott Inc. who bought Intertainment shares between 50 and 70 cents a share in early February.

There is “chatter” on the Street that Mr. Simmons plans to soon do a demonstration with his fans around the world on Intertainment’s site so “that is perhaps what is driving the stock,” Mr. Hodson said. “ I am not a big KISS fan, but Gene has been very entrepreneurial. He has turned a mediocre rock band into a worldwide conglomerate.”

Intertainment has gained $1.58 a share over 11 sessions after Mr. Simmons agreed to become a shareholder and also a promoter for Ortsbo. The website says it enables users to hold online chats in more than 50 languages, with immediate translation of their text messages.

The stock has gained momentum after the company announced earlier this week that it had achieved a “major milestone,” reaching 12.2 million unique visitors in less than 10 months.

“There may be some very large buyers who want a piece of this social media opportunity before it’s too late,” Mr. Hodson suggested. “But it’s exceptionally hard to value, and you don’t know how much money is going to be ultimately made down the road.”

Intertainment chief executive officer David Lucatch said that he convinced Mr. Simmons to get onboard earlier this year after persuading the entertainer, who couldn’t speak English when he emigrated from Israel to the United States as a boy, to try the site.

“Gene typed a message to one of my staff in Hungarian,” Mr. Lucatch recalled. “My staff member received it in simplified Chinese over Ortsbo. She typed it back in Spanish, and he received it in English … We were using four different dialects in a single conversation, and he was blown away.”

Hedge fund manager Steven Palmer of AlphaNorth Asset Management Inc. began buying shares of Intertainment at 5 cents a share through private placements as early as 2009. “It remains to be seen whether it will continue to grow at a rate comparable to Facebook,” he said. “That is what is getting people excited.”

Bruce Kulick Interview

Metal recently interviewed former KISS axeman Bruce Kulick. Here are a few excerpts from the interview:

First of all it seems that you are more than busy man on these days?
It certainly got very busy, yes, but busy is good when you're a musician,

You just did a tour in South America, you’re doing those Grand Funk shows all the time and now you’re in Europe with ESP. That sounds quite complicated schedule “laughs”
Right, I mean, what happened was I knew that in between some of the gigs with Grand Funk I could go to South America which was a commitment that I, I was supposed to do Chile in December and that got pushed from on and then Argentina, the guy always wanted me to do something with him, Sebastian Gava. He's very much like a Paul Stanley in 1991. He's a talented guy and he's a nice guy too and so I was able to put that together you know, a whole week and a half.  I didn't know the time would be so close to us going to Europe but this was the only window of opportunity for Eric and I especially because of Eric's schedule, KISS recording and Gene was going to be busy too.  So it was easy for him to say, okay I'm going to do these shows.  So did I want this schedule to be like this?  No, but I had no choice.

Your long awaited solo album BK3 saw finally the light of day on last year. How satisfied you’re with the result and all feedback you’ve received about it?
I’m very much satisfied about it. I was, look I mean for me I did the record for me and my fans and I know I walked away from it saying this really is the best of me and I feel like I top the other records and from not only the music and the guests which were wonderful but the artwork and the packaging and it's actually, I've gotten very many favorable reviews which is great.  So I'm very pleased.  Sadly I had a busy year with Grand Funk so I couldn't do much in the sense of live things to promote it but like this trip to South America, I was able to perform a few of the songs which is nice.   And the album was kind of complicated.  Seriously, it was not a pretty simple album but usually when people want to see me they surely want to hear my era of KISS which even ESP doesn't really represent.  Okay, we'll do some REVENGE because of Eric and I but we're not going to do “Crazy Nights” and “Tears are Falling” and “Turn on Night”, songs like that, or HOT IN THE SHADE you know like “Hide Your Heart” which I'll do.  So I have a built in crowd really when I concentrate on my era fans.
In a way it's a curse as well.  Because people are… you always HAVE to play that stuff, you know?
Yeah, but I enjoy it because it's not overplayed by anybody then and I can put my signature sound on it.  You should see the reaction I get from those songs you know.  So as much as I love playing with ESP I know when I go solo as long as I'm playing that stuff I go over really well.

Like you already mentioned there’s a list of great guests on BK3 album. How it was the work with Nick Simmons on track “Hand of the King” and how much Gene had to do with it that Nick ended up in the album?
I was going to ask Nick to be on the record. I was going to ask Gene if it was okay for him and Gene actually before I even asked him said, “How about my son Nick?” you know, it was like one of those which is smart of Gene.  I mean he knows that I was going to be recording professionally using nice studios.  It would be a good experience then to work with someone with my experience and he is.  He was very, as we say in America, green you know.  I mean he didn't have a lot of knowledge of how to record.  So working with my producer and I, it was great for Nick and to see him go from being kind of nervous at first and not getting a great performance very first time.  By the end of that day we had a great performance and then he even sang it one more time when we were going to do the armies, he said “I can sing it better now” and so he did.

Tommy Thayer's Studio Report

It's been a great week in the recording studio working on the brand new KISS album. It truly sounds amazing and the new songs are kicking my ass. We cut basic tracks for a bunch of songs together as a unit in the studio for two or three days. We all agreed that we've never got tracks that sound this good before.

Yesterday, I took a shot at a few guitar solos. Paul's producing and doing a superb job steering the ship. Stay tuned for more updates soon...

Stats Give Insight To Live KISS Performances

Here are some very interesting KISS stats submitted by Neil Gido:

Original era: 1/30/73-12/16/79, 620 live performances in nearly 7 years.
Replacements era: 7/25/80-12/15/95, 793 live performances in 15.5 years.
Reunion era: 6/16/96-10/25/00, 396 live performances in 4.5 years.
Post-farewell era: 3/9/01-present, 331 live performances in 10 years.
Total concerts played: 2140.

Concerts played by originals only: 1016.
Concerts played by at least one replacement member: 1124.

Concerts played in makeup: 1443
Concerts played out of makeup: 697

Gene Simmons: 2140
Paul Stanley: 2139
Ace Frehley: 1075
Peter Criss: 1070
Eric Carr: 653
Bruce Kulick: 602
Eric Singer: 419
Tommy Thayer: 316
Vinnie Vincent: 148
Mark St. John: 3
Eddie Kanon: 1

What strikes me most about this list:

1) KISS has, as of last year, played more concerts with at least one replacement member than with the four originals.

2) there's now more than twice as many makeup shows as non-makeup shows.

3) Ace and Peter have now just about half of the total KISS shows, and the two of them combined have obviously will not play as many as Paul or Gene once this next tour commences.

4) Eric Singer might end up playing more shows than Bruce Kulick when it's all said and done.
