We've all heard the news by now that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is one of the two new judges on FOX's 'American Idol' this coming season. Recently, Detroit rocker Kid Rock commented negatively on Steven Tyler's new job to Entertainment Weekly:
"[Steven] is a sacred American institution of rock'n'roll, and he just threw it all out the window," [He] just stomped on it and set it on fire."Well KISS' Gene Simmons has piped up on the situation and has remarked against Kid Rock, defending Tyler's new move as a judge on A.I.
"We should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing," he continued, proposing a French revolutionary death sentence for whoever recommended the TV job. "And if [Steven made the decision] himself, he needs some serious counselling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth."
Gene claims:
"Kid Rock's wrong. Kid's a good guy. Though he's got the goods. But he's wrong about Tyler and Amer Idol. Kid said Tyler did the "stupidest thing" re: Amer Idol. He's wrong. Steven did the right thing. He's going to rock the place, and it's the best thing for him right now."Story still developing...

Gene is right. Kid Rock speaks out showing us that the notion about the junkies staying at the same age they've started doing drugs is pretty fair one. The truth is that Steven is PLAIN OLD. It is ridiculous to deny. Gene, at least, can put on the branded make-up but Steven has none. We should be grateful to our "han solos" for what they've done, but we should also appreciate their decisions not to flog the dead horse any more and do what they like and can do great. As a die-hard fan of Slade I wasn't puppy happy about decision made by Noddy Holder, but, still, I think that it was the right one. There is no Money that could excuse the act of sealing a beautiful and vibrant career with a peace of dung... like many ol' rockers do right now. Just check out some videos of recent Great White 'appearances' to see what I mean by all this 'rant'.
Kid shouldn't judge, 'coz he might find himself in a ridiculous situation with the perspective of doing his 'repertoire' in a certain age. WGACA - What goes around comes around... All hail Gene the Elder! Good luck to ya, Steven!
Forgot to add. Kid shouldn't be opinionated in making judgements about the man who walks in the shoes Kid Rock will never ever fill. Bad boy, yo!
